My study presents the results of mapping views about language and language issues in the Hungarian daily \u00daj sz\u00f3 published in slovakia. I am attempting to answer the question how language and language issues come up in the newspaper, and how the image of these changed between 1949 and 1999. I divided this time period into ten year periods and collected material from every tenth year. From the material collected this way, i followed the process where the attention in articles was gradually refocused from the \u201creat socialist camp\u201d on local problems and issues of the Hungarians in (Czecho)Slovakia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
