The Csal\u00adl\u00f3\u00adk\u00f6z rail\u00adway was built in two parts: the 43,6 km long Pozsony\u2013Dunaszerdahely1 line was deli\u00adve\u00adred to traf\u00adfic in 1895, while the 53,5 km long Kom\u00e1rom\u2013Dunaszerdahely route was accom\u00adplis\u00adhed one year later. The two were uni\u00adted in 1904 and named Po\u00adzsony\u2013Ko\u00adm\u00e1\u00adrom Uni\u00adted Local Railways.<\/p>\n<p>In spite of the fact that all the local rail\u00adwa\u00adys (or branch lines) were built on the basis of simi\u00adlar designs, due to the big role of local in\u00adte\u00adrest (villages, landowners), the con\u00adstruc\u00adti\u00adons were pro\u00advi\u00added differently. Their bu\u00adil\u00adding was ini\u00adti\u00ada\u00adli\u00adsed from lower lay\u00aders and the bu\u00adil\u00adding of such rail\u00adwa\u00adys needed the union of the whole reg\u00adion, and requ\u00ades\u00adted subs\u00adtan\u00adti\u00adal finan\u00adci\u00adal means.<br \/>\nSince in the con\u00adstruc\u00adti\u00adon of rail\u00adwa\u00adys the local peop\u00adle had a very impor\u00adtant role, the first chap\u00adter is about the reg\u00adion. In the sec\u00adond chap\u00adter the rea\u00adder can read about the pre\u00adce\u00addents and bu\u00adil\u00adding of the railway. Becau\u00adse of the con\u00adtext the prob\u00adle\u00adms of bu\u00adil\u00adding local rail\u00adwa\u00adys in Hun\u00adga\u00adry are touched. The third chap\u00adter exa\u00admi\u00adnes the fun\u00adcti\u00ado\u00adning of the rail\u00adway on the basis of annu\u00adal reports issu\u00aded by rail\u00adway joint stock companies. The last part tries to show the rail\u00adway\u2019s influ\u00aden\u00adce on the reg\u00adion, although stres\u00adses that an ove\u00adrall sur\u00advey of the topic requ\u00adi\u00adres a mo\u00adre exten\u00adsi\u00adve com\u00adplex rese\u00adarch tou\u00adching the area\u2019s eco\u00adno\u00admi\u00adcal and social issues.<br \/>\nFor wri\u00adting a com\u00adplex his\u00adto\u00adry of the rail\u00adway would requ\u00adi\u00adre the pro\u00adcess and eva\u00adlu\u00ada\u00adti\u00adon of seve\u00adral other data except of these. Therefore, we could achi\u00ade\u00adve a pic\u00adture on the inte\u00adrac\u00adti\u00adon bet\u00adwe\u00aden the rail\u00adway and the deve\u00adlop\u00adment of the Csal\u00adl\u00f3\u00adk\u00f6z reg\u00adion. A mo\u00adre exten\u00adsi\u00adve know\u00adled\u00adge and intro\u00adduc\u00adti\u00adon of the his\u00adto\u00adry of rail\u00adway would dis\u00adco\u00adver a newer branch of the regi\u00adon\u2019s history, and the exa\u00admi\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon of social, economic, cultural, and civi\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adti\u00adon pro\u00adces\u00adses can reve\u00adal the influ\u00aden\u00adcing fac\u00adtors from the past.
