The very small village forgotten by God, where the novel takes place, Glogova seems to refer to the title of the center of the world, due to its name that bears the associations of Golgota. The similarity of the novel with the biblical Golgota-story is only strengthened by that line of the analysis that shows considerable similarity with Dante\u2019s Divine drama.
