By introducing almost all the works of the regional history writer Gyula Ethey (1878\u20131957), the study provides information and summarizes Ethey\u2019s published works. Ethey\u2019s works are analyzed, examining them according to the time of their publishing, defines their regional importance, evaluates their authenticity and proficiency from historical and other point of view. Through the selectively and extensively cited works, the study identifies the three main collection field of the author\u2019s research – they are: the V\u00e1g, Nyitra and the upper area of Garam \u2013 and their joining points. The author classifies the examined text to the genre of history writing with the following characters: positive, fact-stating, exploring; evaluates the data from personal archives, and his affirmative role in Hungarian-Slovak co-existence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
