Due to the strained for\u00adeign and home pol\u00adi\u00adcy sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion in Czecho\u00adslo\u00adva\u00adki\u00ada, Sep\u00adtem\u00adber and Octo\u00adber 1938 was rich in armed inci\u00addents, street demon\u00adstra\u00adtions, eth\u00adnic con\u00adflict\u00ads. These were first\u00adly char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtic for the Czech-German bor\u00adder sec\u00adtion, where they began even soon\u00ader before the deci\u00adsion in Munich, but they con\u00adtin\u00adued even after the bor\u00adder changes.<\/p>\n
Despite of this, on the Slovak-Hungarian bor\u00adder sec\u00adtion there was silence and peace\u00adful\u00adness, although in the first days of Octo\u00adber, the sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion in South Slo\u00adva\u00adkia sharp\u00adened. In many places \u2013 main\u00adly in the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry of Sub-Carpathia \u2013 there were minor bor\u00adder col\u00adlis\u00adsions that were made most\u00adly by free groups gath\u00ader\u00ading in Hun\u00adga\u00adry. Although in the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry of the Slovak-Hungarian bor\u00adder sec\u00adtion the num\u00adber of such con\u00adflicts was min\u00adi\u00admal. On 5th Octo\u00adber by Kacag\u00f3\u00adpusz\u00adta belong\u00ading to the dis\u00adtrict of Fe\u00adle\u00addi, on 7th Octo\u00adber by P\u00e1r\u00adk\u00e1ny, and on 13th Octo\u00adber in Per\u00adbenyik belong\u00ading to the Kir\u00e1\u00adly\u00adhelmec dis\u00adtric there were bor\u00adder inci\u00addents. In this study from the three inci\u00addents we intend to intro\u00adduce the one that hap\u00adpened in Kacag\u00f3\u00adpusz\u00adta on 5th Octo\u00adber that before the first Vien\u00adna deci\u00adsion can be con\u00adsid\u00adered not only the most impor\u00adtant indi\u00adci\u00adden\u00adt, but also the most doc\u00adu\u00adment\u00aded one.
\nThe most impor\u00adtant bor\u00adder inci\u00addent of fall 1938 was in the Fe\u00adle\u00addi dis\u00adtrict on 5th Octo\u00adber, dur\u00ading which the units of the Hun\u00adgar\u00adi\u00adan bor\u00adder insur\u00ading com\u00adpa\u00adny in Hang\u00adony broke to the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry of Czecho\u00adslo\u00adva\u00adki\u00ada. Con\u00adse\u00adquent\u00adly they broke the first line of the Czechoslo\u00advak bor\u00adder guard and occu\u00adpied some ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adries lived by Hun\u00adgar\u00adi\u00adan\u00ads. Although the Czechoslo\u00advak bor\u00adder defence \u2013 that were acti\u00advat\u00aded and put into action even armoured troops \u2013 stopped them. After the attack was defeat\u00aded, and their supe\u00adri\u00ador units mo\u00adre strong\u00adly insist\u00aded on their with\u00addrawal, the attack\u00aders after 1 day of fight, on 5th Octo\u00adber in evening hours drew back behind the state bor\u00adder\u00ads.
\nThe set\u00adtling down of the diplo\u00admat\u00adic storm that was caused by the evening inci\u00addent took place at the meet\u00ading in Ko\u00adm\u00e1\u00adrom. After the com\u00admence\u00adment of the ple\u00adna\u00adry meet\u00ading on 10th Octo\u00adber the leader of the Slo\u00advak del\u00ade\u00adga\u00adtion, Jozef Tiso required expla\u00adna\u00adtion from the Hun\u00adgar\u00adi\u00adan party con\u00adcern\u00ading the attack on 5th Octo\u00adber. Con\u00adse\u00adquent\u00adly K\u00e1\u00adnya explained that there was indi\u00advid\u00adual ini\u00adtia\u00adtive behind the attack and that the exam\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of the case is in process.
