They intended to implement the task by \u201ekeeping the 2006 status quo\u201d and by \u201econsistent fulfillment of international commitments\u201d taken by the Slovak Republic. The Venice Commission, in its Opinion released shortly after the Manifesto, made recommendations that, if respected, could have helped the Government to fulfill its own commitments made in the Manifesto. However, this did not happen.
