In the previous analyses, the novel of Mihály Tamás was only studied as a novel on a national minority, but in this study we also raise the question whether the work could be handled as kind of an autobiography or a fraction of it, providing the identity of the protagonist and the author was detectable. The importance of this issue gains an important role mostly concerning the work’s potentially being a reference, and allows the interpretation of the novel in a way that it serves as a source not only for the literary science but also for history.
