In 1948, the Secondary Boarding School of the Premonstratensian Order at Jászóvár (now also called Jasov) was secularized and its monks were forced to settle in Gödöllő (Hungary), and in 1950, the Order of the Canons Regular of Prémontré itself was abolished too. The public educational institutions and the Premonstratensian monastery operated in one block of buildings, with a common utility system. The study illustrates the reality of everyday life and its hardships and ideological struggles through source documents.
