Katalin Misad: Semantic and pragmatic context of Hungarian terminological language planning in Slovakia

The study deals with semantic and pragmatic aspects of Hungarian terminological language planning in Slovakia. The first part of the contribution is dedicated to a specific area of food processing terminologies in Slovak and in Hungarian, their confrontation and mutual interrelation. The study does not confine itself within mere characterization of separate denominations; it also examines their semantic properties and their grammatical structures. In the second part of the study, the author offers an overview of Slovak-Hungarian and Hungarian-Slovak special dictionaries and reports published, while also presenting descriptions of their specific features from the viewpoint of lexicography.
